From Fedor to Woody, themes of Crime and Punishment have been rendered in literature. Of course, in our society today, people are horrified about capital punishment even when the murderers are heinous and non-repentant. Liberals have for over 70 years railed against capital punishment while never talking about the murderous regimes of Mao, Stalin, Pol Pot, Castro et al. There are many people in the nation today who deserve punishment but our courts and even SCOTUS have become seemingly more protective of the perp than the victim. The continued election of liberal Dems in all 50 states in local, state, and federal offices only pushes this agenda quickly forward. We cannot even punish the people who collapsed Fannie and Freddie to cause the panic of '08-'09 economically. They sit on House and Senate committees deciding for all of us new economic fantasies. We do not punish the gangs that manifest themselves now in almost every state. We cuff them and then parole them. We do not punish illegals. We do not punish rapists, sex molestors, kiddie porn distributors , sex and pain addicts, porn of every vicious kind whether homosexual or straight and indeed we allow titulation to continue even in our schools with sextexting. Now it may be that people do not think rapists or sex thugs with kids should be capital crimes. But, apparently the Bible did. But, of course, we do not listen to it anymore either. Drive bys usually get away. Drunk drivers like that Gallo thug who killed the Angels pitcher, Nick Adenhart , will be defended by some sleazy lawyer and perhaps will get off a death watch by appealing to sentiments of a hard time in his life. Psychology has allowed more thugs and bums to go loose than I can count. Would it not be wonderful, just once, if every thug , like the Pirates of Somalia, were killed without any sentiment. Without any trial. Would it not be wonderful to put away with needle, every rapist, child killer, every kidnapper who kills, without fail! No waiting time. Just bang, the perp is gone from our view. And as to dealing with Islamofascists, no prisoners, ever. Kill them on sight. Then we will have no Gitmos, or Abu Grahbs. Just once. But, as long as the sheeple in America keep electing liberal secular socialist pacifists as Obama and his minions, we will have more crime and less punishment as our democratic republic crumbles into something looking like an Asian , Latin American, or African state. And that would not be the glory of America that Governor Bradford saw for us in the 1600's, when he thought we would become a light upon a hill for the nations.
