The varied Spending sprees made winners and losers.

 There is not doubt that free enterprise lose. We know now that this entire socialist pacifist scheme was to change the entire structure and philosophy of our nation into ideology of a communal, socialist European type nation which is more global than national. The hatred of nationalism by liberals has long been known. But, there are real losers in this spree. One that no one writes or talks about is the USA farmer. Like the days of the Depression, many cow farmers, milk producers are thinking of killing the herds because the value of their product has so diminished because of no mention of farms in this Porkulas.Milk prices have dropped so low, that farmers can no longer afford to feed the animals. Of course, the Left hates beef, burgers, McDonalds, Carl Jrs. et al and thinks that methane alone should be taxes so high, all cattle farmers should be displaced by soy ! Nutters all the way. Abroad the global recession has cut into all diary products from the USA like cheese, butter, milk et al. There are some 9.3 dairy milk cows. Some one million and one half would have to be slaughtered unless people pick up their demand.Small farmers are really hurting. Liberals hate large ag-business-farms so they hope that they too are hurt. What gets me is that there used to be Farm lobbies strong enough that both parties cared about them and their product. Now lobbies are hated except liberal ones, of course. We all were against the silly subsidies that farmers go NOT TO GROW STUFF. Remember them? And with water shortages in many farm states, including NJ, Ca., and Fla., food prices in general will rise in the summer and early Fall. This nation used to feed ourselves and the world. With socialism now on the rise, who knows what our farm products will look like and where they will come from. Hopefully, not China or India or Korea or Taiwan where we get all our other products, In this latest Stimulus PC baloney, farm industries were cut out of the $18 billion tax breaks that would have expanded their ability to use current losses to get refunds against taxes paid when they were making larger profits. And BTW, it has been since 1914 when the farm industry and industries of the steel et al type have had parity in profit. We have more efficient farms but as years have gone on, and from now on, small farms will simply stop their efforts and roll it over to Ag-Business corporations.  Of course, other losers in this huge deficit and spending horror, include Home builders, the nuclear energy industry: the enviros cut out most of their efforts to get in on the carbon credits, the defense industry which will build few new weapons systems since BHO now declares all wars against terrorists over and won except in Afghanistan and Pakistan, who he doesn't like and wants Bin Laden for glory.  Also, there was nothing in the new budget for , dah dah, Homeland Security, border security, ICE. Can you note this? What the nation really needs did not get a lift. But, Large hospices, General Motors, Big Govt., the jobless and poor got redistribution of tax payer monies that they did not earn, education that has failed miserably for a generation got billions, and the alternative energy industries which will not pilot our cars or make electricity grids better, safer or more efficient all got the winner's tag. And naturally, the EPA which now rules all it surveys with Pelosi's mouse and other nutty stuff that the taxpayer should not fund. Oh well, are we losers? Yes. But, I will not allow myself or family to be losers since I will take care of myself and my wife and dog and keep the faith as long as I breath. Conservative Christians just never give up! That should be all of our theme here on townhall.com.

Senor Obama

 Today, on a Mexican radio show in Los Angeles, Obama came on and asked the listeners to join immigrant rights groups. He wants those Rights Groups to join together and give him and the Dem Congress ideas on how to deal with immigration. He never used the word, illegal immigration. He never asked state guvs or anyone who was interested in stopping illegal immigration to join him. And the radio listeners were pleased. Of course. No facts about how Islamofascist terrorists are coming across with the 'coyotes' in small numbers each month. Yes, small. But, a small group of terrorists can make quite an impact: see 9/11. I suggest that BHO read some novels by people who have military experience. Such as Brad Thor, Vince Flynn, Jeffrey Bell who all , in the last two years have much to say on how illegal immigration is already fracturing the Southern border of the USA with drug, gun, terrorist running. Not one word in the Porkulas Bill on aid to state on stopping illegal immigration. Not one word from Obama, Biden, Rangel, Hoyer, Pelosi, Reid. Not one word from the Republican leaders either. But, along with Santelli, there was the Celente trend report which dealt with the reality of a scenario by 2014 of Mexico falling apart and making the USA a natural target not only for massive immigration but massive terrorist, gang, drug and thug importation. I will bet there will be not one idea from Obama in his speech this Tues. night or in any Conference he holds on immigration with his Hispanic fawners that deals with this scenario of complete immigration chaos. Can you imagine the economic, public safety, health , commerce impact this Mexican break up will have all added up to the end of our border and national security safety if the WH and Congress doesn't act now?  An End Days Disaster.

  We should all recap what has gone on in the last 4 weeks. 1. Bailing out the banks ala Sweden with that ole Fed guy, Greenspan.  What a horrid idea.  2. Censorship. Today, BHO is against the Fairness Doctrine but not against censorship. Wait till Stebanow and Harken and Frank get a new name for that horror. 3. 17,000 troops to Afghanistan: blames Bush for not sending more troops. But, still has no policy on dealing global-wide with Islamofascism.  4. Home mortagage bailouts for losers, poor risks for owning homes and Ca. people are cheering since it is there that so may of these poor risks will now be bailed out. Oh, the people paying mortagages with under-valued homes, not as lucky. 5. Unions, teachers, state workers get bailed out with tax hikes federally and now in Ca. though Abel Maldonado a Pub, still won't give into the tax hikers. 6. BHO is paying back what he sees are the villains of capitalism. Banks, CEO's who make profits. Home owners who made good mortagages. And the middle class who often creates real jobs but now will take it on the chin so the Govt. can control the means of production and distribution. Oh, yep, that is Swedish socialism. BTW, did you know that in Sweden, they have the highest rates of suicide per capita for major nations? I can see it now as the Dow plunges. 6. The Fed says unemployment will rise to 8% and the economy will shrink and nothing BHO and the Dems do will change that bleak outlook. 7. BHO talks down the economy to make sure all groups in the nation look to Dems and the Govt. for their cradle to the grave support. So how can the economy be crashing? BHO promises 2-4 million jobs. What nonsence!  8. TARP hasn't moved anyone or anything. 9. We are up to 2-3 Trillion, yep, Trillion in bailouts and spending and the Dow goes down.           So what do we do?  a. Join groups that petition, write letters to editors, and lobby the state and federal guvs and legislatures. Blast them with facts and your unhappiness on a weekly level.  b. Revive the conservative GOP. Do not send money to RINOS. Never. Make sure Steele of the RNC recruits only new, vibrant conservatives. If some areas do not have any, forget those areas. c. Join the local Chamber of Commerce. Support small businesses to create jobs. d. Write the GOP reps in the House and Senate almost daily to keep the pressure on the media, the Feds and Dems to go back to capitalism and let the market decide who wins and loses. And never watch any liberal Media like MSNBC but support Fox, bloggers on the Net that want freedom and liberty. Join such groups as NumbersUSA for the illegal immigration problem. e. Never forget there are issues which BHO and the liberal Dems do not think important. Keep them in the forefront of the public such as immigration, Islamofascism, energy drilling, and nuclear useage. Also support home schooling and other free will groups that build America not tear it down. Please comment and tell us what other issues and efforts we can do to rebuild America out of the Socialist Pacifist turn that Dems have fostered.

ENVY

 Along with Fear, Lust , the Obama liberal Dems use ENVY to destroy the free enterprise system.  For generations , the liberal Dems have tried to kill big business: oil companies, nuclear companies, WALMART, et al. They love to be GREEN. They know that is just another word for socialism. The media and the Congressional Left, which now is dominant, are playing the Class Envy, Class Warfare Card. They are winning this ACTIVIST battle. They want to fill the Porkulas with every leftist wet dream over the last 75 years. ACORN gets money. But, no one is rescuing the Medicare and SS system. Minorities meet with the Faux Messiah in Ft. Meyers and ask him for a kitchen, car, more perks if one works at 'Donalds.Pure government action making tax payers liable for all the losers in our society. OK, not just losers. Sure, there is always about 5% of Americans unemployed in most fiscal years because of illnesses, mental , emotional, problems and pure laziness. But, so many Americans now, at least 45% want the Government to ax the middle class, the CEO's, all PROFIT MINDED BUSINESS. See, the Dems just know that the money is where Profit is. Like robbing banks as Willie Sutton said, 'that is where the money is.' Then the Dems need the Private Sector to sell this socialism. So the CEO's are scared of this guy and Dems in Congress and they  are getting payback against all those free enterprises  that have made this nation great. The Dems do not care about printing money, as I just wrote , they lust for power. They use the envy of the non-producers to win this battle. They know that communicating with the public which hates winners in our society nowadays, that payback is coming, will get all those people who really think that our system is a zero sum game. They know that conservative ideology believes in working hard and excelling and some might fail in the way. But, Dems are evil and not stupid. They make sure the non-producers think that now with Obama in charge, he will punish all that competiton that works hard and leaves the losers behind. So let us punish them even if it hurts one's well off neighbor down the street. And today, as the Conference begins, not one Republican was allowed to exchange ideas, chop pork, stand for capitalism, and actually get legislation that produces JOBS. No, welfare for non-producers will teach those fat cat Pubs. Oh, never mind that there are actually more Dem millionaires than Pub. Never mind that many of the same CEO's the Dems are punishing voted for Change and Hope . Never mind that sports and movie stars voted for Obama. Punish the rich and upper middle class. How? Well, wait till the tax hikes begin. You bet. He lied. Tax cuts are an illusion. Take hikes will not be. Unless this massive state socialism fails, Obama will gain seats in 2010. If it fails, he will lose House seats and perhaps, just perhaps, Americans will drop the illusion and realize that America has been hijacked by a foreign ideology=Marxism.

Lust, not what you think!

 The Obama Admin. is now based on fearmongering. But, something else has crept into American politics since 1932. Lust. Lust for power. Oh some of it is revered as 'public duty'. Some is 'needed to rescue America.' Over the last 75 years, politicians have been found out to also be sexually lustful, power to control the opposite sex and glory in it because they had the power to either keep it quiet, or to cow their opponents, or to actually have the media as their willing allies in covering their crimes of passion and for that matter other crimes too. FDR had his flirtations and they were not all with Eleanor. Truman and Bess were clean as whistles and thank the Lord for that. IKE had some piccadillos with a nurse so it has been written but he stayed with Maime. Nixon and Pat were true blue to the end. LBJ was a guy who knew where all the skeletons were buried in DC and other assorted love dens. I remember all these guys very well and the things they knew and did for power. Carter was just a mess and not using his power for good has made him the worst president (not Nixon or Bush) that I can remember. Reagan was Ronnie and Mommie and what he did in Hollywood before that was not part of his Administration. The first Bush and BABS were class. Enough said about Bubba and Hil. Their political scandals, love amoratas are just tooooo much to go over. But suffice it to say, Bubba used sex and political station for pure power lust driven ideas, events, policies and politics.GW and Laura, well after the Frat days, George found Jesus and Laura made sure he kept at it. In fact, Bush did not use the power he could have to communicate especially on the why of defeating Islamofascism with every bit of power he could muster. Even if it offended liberal sensitivities. Now we have the faux Messiah. Since his start, under Saul Alinsky, Obama has understood political power. And he has used his own rhetorical sexual communication skills to outsmart his opponents and to woo his followers. In politics., he has used the lust for power to Socialist Pacifist ends and it is now being tested on the American people. It is not only this horrid Porkulas Bill or Stimulation Fraud, but it is on NSA, DIA reorganizations, Commerce reorganizations including the power to take over the Census figures to make redistricting Congress a Rahm Emmanuel effort which would keep by gerrymander, the Pubs in a minority position for generations to come. He already has dealt with Gitmo, interrogations laws, labor laws and secret ballots there. By Executive fiat, he has taken apart most of the Bush Orders including drilling for oil, for stopping the expansion of the EPA and Endangered Species Act.  The lust of power in the Senate and House by Harry and Nancy are by now well known and even some in the media are wondering how leadership that is arrogant and a one party rule is really American in nature and capitalistic in economics. We shall see. But, it is amazing that on a day which I heard a review of the 10 Commandments, the new 15 day Administration is in the process of breaking all 10 in the first 100  Days. Shameless and Dangerous for democracy.

Fear!

I first voted in 1958. It was a state election as well as Congressional in NJ. We had the old slide the lever punch the ticket voting so one had a hard time splitting one's ticket. The issues were taxes, welfare, and dealing with Matsu and Quemoy nationally. The Dems ran the Congress though Ike was popular; Nixon was not. So there was partisan sniping as usual. Dems pretty much still ran the show and the media was cleverly pro-Dem but not so one could notice since the rise of conservatism had just begun with National Review, Frank Meyer, Bill Buckley, Whitaker Chambers. The hate was not in the air and they all played golf and drank bourbon at Burning Tree Golf club where even I had a round one day. But in just 12-13 days in this new Obama Adminstration, the Fear Card has been played like I have never seen it. Kennedy played it with Cuba and the Missile Gap. But few Pubs hated the guy.Carter played it over Panama but again, few Pubs wanted to hang him . Nowadays, I might but that is another story!!! LOL.  Now after this inexperienced naif has had horrid appointments to his Cabinet as I already have stressed, his Fear Mongering over Socializing the USA has become rancid , almost fascist and near hysterical. Yet, yet, the same doofuses that elected him are now, slowly, realizing that this Stimulus Economic deal is a catastrophe. Obama claims that the system will never recover if we don't spent One Trillion Bucks for liberal social welfare deals which of course are paybacks to his PAC groups that got him elected. The card check deal, the media censorship deal, money for anything, anybody while Frank, Dodd, and other Dems who ruined Fannie and Freddie, caused the fear rolling with mortagages and housing in the first place, go unpunished, snow balls down Congressional Hallways with finally, the Pubs standing up against them. It may not be enough. I have signed 5 petitions alone today telling the Dems that this is Socialism pure and simple. It is fearmongering at its worst. Many of our poor will still believe the baloney as will many minorities because they are the main beneficiares of the largesse. Not the corporations, small businesses that create jobs. Obama made a good populist comment nailing the CEO's for outrageous bonuses. Yet, even that is pure socialism. He did not make it for sports' stars or his fawning Actor buddies. And they create few if any jobs. The Fear is going to kill capitalism if it is believed. And what if, what if China, Russia, Iran, N.Korea decide to test this naif right now? Just how would he and the Dems react? Closing Gitmo is not a foreign policy I can live with. Frankly, Vince Flynn's Mitch Rapp should be advising the President how to deal with Islamofascist terrorism but he appears to trust Holder and the Asst. Att. Gen. who is also an ACLU type. Oh, and the outreach to Iran, why the Iranian thug doesn't even want our badmitton team to appear in Iran or against Iranian competitors. No fear of Islamofascism but lots of fear against our democratic capitalistic system. Will the public go along?  If the voting patterns hold from last Nov., perhaps so. Now one sees Gallup and Rasmussen showing dropping support for the Fearsome Program. Where is the hope and vision? Where is the optimism that America can overcome. FDR never gave into fear. JFK , Truman and Reagan did not either. Why is the Messiah doing it? To keep the public dependent on Dems, himself and on for generations to come where America will get Change all right, but it will look like The Third World when it is completed.

Inspirational??

 Well, I did watch the Show. I was amazed that only 3 times did the President evoke applause. The Lowrey prayer, the poem by Alexander actually kept the Show upscale.  First, Obama wrote the speech himself according to Fox News. He seemed to be finalizing it as he spoke.  It was the End of the Campaign and still no one really listening knew what or who or where Obama was going, who is is and what policies he would pursue.  Lincoln did not show up today. FDR did not either because there was no outlining  of ideas that had foundation. There was more outreach to Muslims than to conservatives who voted against the new President. There was no New Deal, Raw Deal, Good Deal or Fair Deal. Perhaps it was because he had heard from Bush and the DIA, CIA, NSA that times of war were still going to haunt this nation for years to come. I liked the apparent transition and seemingly tolerance of Bush and Obama and their families for one another. The girls are just super. One told her father, you better make the speech good and then afterwards, mouthed the word, good speech. The Lowrey prayer , however, was a political statement by one of those liberal pastors who have thought America for ever doesn't get it on race from his, and many radical black perceptions. The lilt of the word, 'yellow will be mellow, brown will hang around, and white (finally) will be doing right under the new President. Oh and American Indians are around too, with the casinos? He didn't pray that. My guess is Obama did not appreciate ole Joe's 87 yr. old spouting. Of course, I am a conservative. I would have been inspired if he had told us all that his Administration would not lead to socialist pacifism. That free enterprise will still be around even if legislating and over-sight by the Feds will hand over them like a Vulture. He talked about the poor and so does the Bible. But, the poor do not grow jobs, grow infrastructure, have the power to actually grow out of their poverty if they make the wrong decisions. Obama wanted equity, equalization, leveling the entire population. Apparently, the Dow did not react well for this new President. Now that would have been inspirational for me as my wife and I have lost , $200,000 on paper so far. And unless a real capitalistic miracle occurs under the Pelosi-Reid-Frank-Dodd-Obama reign, I will not be inspired until that miracle does happen before I assume room temperature!

 If I were Emperor, I would ask the Messaih to......1.  Tell educators, media outlets, that the First Amendment is still in play. We are allowed as Americans to opine against Obama's agenda if we think it is bad for America. The wave of adornment is so cloying that people do not want any anti-Obama or Democrat comments. Yipe.  2. Tell Obama to not allow Frank's view to bring back the Death Tax, ATM tax and Capital Gains taxes so far out of reach that all capitalism ends.  3. Tell Obama to continue to support Israel though his lefty loons in blogsville want him to support the Islamofascists. 4. Tell Obama that the SCHIP insurance for kids, is the next step to universal government health care which will be pure socialism. Last week, the WSJ said if this happens, both laws passed, that capitalism is ended for our economic system. The Republicans and others in our nation will not have the guts to stand up to the Left, Obama and the Media to go back to the free enterprise Market system. And our youth will not know anything about it since they don't know anyhow! 5. Tell Obama to actually listen to some conservative pundits and experts on national defense, intel gathering, our own Joint Chiefs, and Domestic security.  6. Ask Obama to not to ignore the domestic minority gangs that are running wild in many of our urban centers as well as in the Mid West, South and N. West. Ask him to support efforts to wipe these scum out and not try to negotiate with them!!! The same could be said for our International enemies but then that is Hil's job.7.  Since the Messiah is so infatuated with McCain, ask Obama to clear his choices for lower and SCOTUS appointees in his next 4 years. After all, perhaps, McCain will actually temper the leftward drift since the media is saying McCain has suggested all of Obama's recent appointees anyhow!! The Conservative choices will not be able to be done but perhaps, God will instruct both arrogant idealists that mini conservs might actually be put forward to the Senate Judiciary Comm. !!!!  8. Since Democrats run most of the 50 states now, ask Obama to ask the governors there to use some of the National Guard to guard the borders of each state from illegal immigrants. He will not do it but perhaps the people in those Blue states will finally realize that in a time of recession , illegals are dangerous in so many ways to our economy. One never knows. After all, the Messiah is engendering so much adulation that one wonders just when a Life Presidency will be offered to us from on high. 9. And finally, please never allow Joe Biden to give a speech or make any suggestions. Thank you, oh most High.

Clinton breezes and National Defense suffers!

  That Clinton gal voted for the War though she hated the idea of war. Her hubbyt, used to shoot missiles and hit aspirin factories which were hidden. He tried sooooooooooooo hard to get that Osama fella. Dems love to talk about FDR in war and peace. They should bring up Truman more often. Since then, LBJ was a failed war leader, JFK never even got in the game because of Cuba and treachery there. Nixon understood the military and foreign policy but still could not bear the heat to actually win a war. Carter, errr, Carter was simply an aberration that the public could never figure out and regretted it when they did! Reagan knew about war. WIN. Yep, beat the enemy. Not fondle, not love, not communicate with. WIN. Beat them on every level. Too bad that two terms that the Dems now want deleted for their new Messiah was not the call then. Reagan with mental problems would have protected the nation till he dropped. Back to Bubba. No, he did not work as hard as he could every night to stop the start of Islamofascism. And he undid our Intel along with liberal Dems like Frank Church, Leahy, Harken, et al. Then there was  the elder Bush before the Clintonistas,  who stopped too soon in Iraq because he actually was fool enough to believe the UN and he raised taxes to boot.   So Bubba caught him looking at his watch in a debate and that was that. Now, we have had the younger Bush who cut taxes and actually defended the nation though he took long enough to deal with the real problems in Iraq and Afghan. The media hated Cheney, Rummie, but loved the poor misunderstood, caught in the middle Powell. The Bushies actually supported the idea to win in the ME. They actually supported Israel over all of the Islamofascists while the ME tyrants cornered the oil and gas markets which apparently the liberal Dems just love since we still do not drill for either domestically. Now we see Hillary beginning to trend toward those same ME tyrants while leaving the protection of Israel as an after-effect. We see Bubba still getting money from all those ME oil millionaires who just happen to be Muslim or at least Arab know nothings. The Pay for play idea is never brought up by the media or even the Pubs so Hil will win wildly with winsomeness and wholesomeness! Oh yeah. When will we see Israel react to this dissing? Hopefully very soon to take out Iranian nuclear facilities and knock off Hamas and Hez. as they punch that clock. With Bush gone, Obama will think foreign policy is now THOUGHTFUL, SMART, AND DIPLOMATIC. Yeah, that will scare the devil out of the real devils, the Muslim Islamofascists on all levels including that guy Osama who Bubba could not catch and neither could Bush. I will even tip my hat to the Messiah if he can get the thug. But, I will not bet my house on that eventuality. And Hil, as SECSTATE? Well, diplomacy will get us back in the Eurotrash game and the UNSocialist game. And most of our public will not understand what the heck that means to American national security. Will she ask Obama to sign the Columbian and other Trade agreements? Will she want to sign the Treaty of the Seas? We shall see. We do know that the UN will be foremost in our media approbation. Yet no one will know that of the 190 nations in the UN, probably, 160 are one party dictatorships. Will Hil care? Frankly, I doubt it. She will love those cocktail parties in Glen Echo Park and downtown at 555, a very sleek restaurant! Oh, and none of those poor people that the Left love, though they really can't stand them, will be invitied to all those swanky settees. And oh the deals that will be made there!

Obama's economic speech

Today, Obama made an economic speech. The Dow went down and is still tanking. But, CNN has a poll that says approval rates for him is at 82%.  RCP tells us that Nancy Pelosi has changed the House debate rules after 100 years. Now the GOP will not, not, not be able to debate or provide amendmends for most bills legislated. So, there will be no opposition to all out socialism as the Messiah has it proposed. Health care will be on the docket next week that has the Children's Health care bill will be passed and it will be a stepping stone to National Health Care. As Rush would say, 'For the children'. Today, Obama made not one statement about his tax cuts for the middle class. Not one. And Pelosi on the House floor asked that the Bush tax cuts be rescinded.  He says we will spend our way out of a recession. Economists and I know that all recessions last between 12-18 months. Obama wants this fear to spread so that the non and un-productive will call and scream for even more welfare and punishment for the rich, us, corporations, the middle class.  And what does the Stupid Party do? Nothing. They will and cannot even complain. It is too late for them to complain because in 8 years, they spent like drunken sailors and that disses sailors. Just scan RealClearPolitics today and see the economic articles that favor all this socialism? The media is in a swoon to accept another FDR plan which failed. No fireside chats will change this.  If deficits , according to Barak are to go out to the horizon for many years, what is he planning? Another 12 yr. reign like FDR to 'really stop this underregulated, GOP criminal affair we call free enterprise.'  And note that Kit Bond, Jeb Bush, and others have decided not to run in 2010 and the Dems will pick up even more Senate seats. The end game: the Messiah has now graduated to Dictator!

The clouds of scandal over the Messiah

The appointments so far by Obama have been rather skewed in importance and controversy. Even Hillary is not the perfect choice but he will have to keep watching her when she makes statements on international policy. What if she supports Israel, and the Messiah wants to be sooooo morally equivalant in his support of the Muslim 7th C nutjobs? And what does Leon Penatta know about intel? Even Jay Rockefeller and Senator Feinstein are quibbling about this 70 yr. old retread with nothing but WH experience in keeping the mail and the job seekers coming and going into the Oval Office! Leon is just another Dem flacker who was a Clintonista. The change is now becoming cloying in its hypocrisy.And if Kath. Sibelius replaces Billyboyplayforpay at Commerce, will a Pub be the new governor of Kansas as will the new governor of Az. be a Pub since the Messiah also chose Janet N.?  If so, were these choices political enough for the DNC to trust Obama's judgement? His choices of Jones and Gates were fine since he knows absolutely zip about foreign policy. He simply is a socialist pacifist. The reason he makes no comments on the ME mess is that he doesn't have a policy that will solidy his Jewish vote here and already Israel's newspapers like the Jerusalem Post say Israelis are very shaky about this guy being a supporter of their democracy. H. Solis is a dense bulb of union kow towing. Nothing more. These cabinet choices may be cross cultural, multicultural and allowing women some cred, but what do these people know about running a government? After all, when one looks at the Blue and Red States and their budgets, it is the Blue states where deficits are running as far out as the horizon and bankruptcy looms. The same inane voters who put Al Franken and now have Blago and the new Senate choice to deal with, are the same ones who repeatedly elect loons like Frank, Franken, Leahy, and all assorted liberal Democrats who keep taxing and spending. The Pubs have lost their way but at least their Cabinets had competent people in them. This new one may keep the Messiah wondering if he made too many promises for change and he may have to put down his tierra of theology just to survive.

My next wishes for 2009

Well, I covered some wishes with my last blog.  Now     more before I get into the Eagles-Minn. game and play with my 4 yr old grandson.   1.  Educationally: Many Americans should demand in the 50 state depts. of education that the NEA be limited in its power and that charter schools, home schooling should be given equal consideration for schooling. Also, more public input into the curriculum process should be demanded so left wing PC baloney dealing with gay agendas, leftist socialist pacifist international policies is limited.  2.  Make use of impeachment, recall on any , any public official who has been indicted, gotten involved in any scandal. No more of this baloney where the public has to put up with the Blagos, the Franks, the Patersons, the mayors of DC. Oh yes, they have rights. But, where is their public responsibility to the tax payer? Get legal firms to sue every law breaker who is a pol who has ruptured the public trust. Bankrupt them if needbe. 3. Illegal immigration: I do not care which Prez pardons Compean and Ramos, but do it. Also, stop all, all, all immigration into the USA for two years. Man the borders with some, just a few, National Guardsmen. Deport as many illegals in this nation as possible. Arrest gang members who are illegals and immediately deport them. Start asking people to become citizens immediately without going back and forth to their native nation. Stop anchor babies even if one has to amend the Constitution.  4. Stop all other bailouts immediately. Have the GOP united, to stop any socialism even if they are blasted by the media. Let Obama and the Dems try their socialism and when it fails, blast it. Simply do not choose to abandon the free enterprise system to the Leftists. The GOP must use the Net, twitter, Fox, and certainly CSPAN to pronounce its liberty, democratic , free enterprise views daily. Educate the public every day not just in election years. Whether anyone will do this is up to them but I know that America deserves better than socialist liberal pacifism for this new year.

Some wishes for the New Year, 2009

1. Somehow that the American public would remember some history past over the last 7 decades. For Example: the Great Depression was as bad in 1938-9, the time of my nativity, as it was in 1929. That WWII got us out of the Depression. Now no one wants war to do that now but one hopes that even younger, inexperienced Americans, say Obama for instance, might see that free enterprise is still the American economic engine which will help America to expand and give more opportunities for all 330,000,000 citizens. Thus, 2., that socialist pacifism in domestic and foreign policies will not work. The '20's and '30's in American isolationist times as well as with the British, only encourage thieves, killers, imperialists, and warmongering dictatorships such as we face with Islamofascism, the Chinese Reds, the new Russian KGBers,et al. If Obama tries those ploys, he will put the USA in a Third World position and many Americans, young ones, liberal intellectuals , will not know what hit them as they whine and crawl for more carnal advantages and receive none! Thus, Barak, get some realipolitik with James Jones, Bob Gates, and even Hillary Clinton. Plus some assorted brave Pubs who want the USA to live and prosper. 3. Economically, I hope bankruptcy works its hand and weeds out the bums, the crooks, the greedy, the welfare mentality of so many non-producers in our nation. Let the Market prevail. Obama will not, but I wish he would . When he says stimulus, it means taxation, over-regulation, government nationalization, and printing more money. We shall have stagflation at the least and an ongoing recession and socialistic expansion at the worst.4. Culturally, I pray that who ever produces TV shows, plays, radio shows goes back to more family understandings and a realization of sin. Yep, old fashioned sin. You know, where taking drugs is not a sickness, adultery, and fornication of and with 13 yr. olds is evil not just, well, they all do it or do it if it feels good. It won't happen but those who do will be rewarded by a jaundiced public who knew what real entertainment was just 20 years ago. The more cultural diversity, no guilt cultural innovations, music, stage actions where sex goes unabated as on some Soaps, some flickers, the more this nation creeps toward Sodom as Judge Bork wrote. A return and a brave one at that, to moral happenings, events, plays, entertainment would shock the hipsters, the rappers, the gangs, and the atheists who love to tweak the middle class, but oh would it be refreshing. 5. Would it not be great to see gangs in cities wiped out and not 'understood'? Just like Israel wiping out Hamas? Let the cops take out the bums and thugs. Tell the liberal courts to shut up for once. It will not happen, but I wish it would. Oh and 6, I want all my Philly teams to win world championships. Yep. Now that is silly but after all, it is my wish list I am discussing not Chicago's or LA's!!! Happy Wishing.

Israel hits back at the Islamofascists

 While the pathetic UN and world opinion condemn Israel for its blasting of Gaza, I applaud it. As a kid, I was at the UN in 1948 with my Nana and we watched two terrific debates. 1. Was on the newly drawn borders of Israel where oddly enough both the USA and USSR approved of the new nation. 2. The Indonesian question with the Dutch debating the World Body on how colonialism would end and an evil man, Andre Vichinsky of the USSR taking , of course, the idea that the Dutch were just beastly . Of course, the Soviets had just taken all the Captive Nations due to Yalta accords with the ill FDR.  I have always been a fan of Israel, not only Biblically, but because they fought the Nazis when the Arabs often colluded with them. T.E. Lawrence would have been appalled at Arab treachery  just before and during the WAR. I applauded David Ben Gurion and Chaim Weizmann. I knew about that even in high school and later I taught about the heroic wars Israel fought against Arab dictators. For years the UN has been anti-Semitic. They just hate Isreal because they do not play the PC diplomatic game .  Israelis actually fight back against evil. The USA has too and we will see if the faux Messiah does too. Israel has been bombed , straffed, murderlized for decades and the World has told them, give up land, pull back, don't fight, you are the cause of violence. All baloney. Personally, I hope they kill Hamas' leadership, wipes out terrorist camps and puts the Islamofascists back into the Stone Age. That the PALS whine about Jews and want the world to punish Israel and then have diplomats try to do just that, does not sit well with me. Blast away Mossad, blast away Olmert, and win Bibi. That is my wish for the New Year for Israel.

Christmas gifts of the past

 Having loved Christmas ever since I was 4, that was my first memory of it, I was thinking of gifts from Christmases Past. The year was 1943 and my Dad was in the South Pacific. I was visiting my great great grandmother and she returned the visit as Mom worked downtown in Phila. at the Telephone Co. We lived with my grandparents and Grandmother Luger, yes, she was German from Germany, was watching me as I ate a blue Christmas ball! In 1945, Dad was home and he and my Aunt Thirza built a Christmas village with cardboard cutouts and some lead people from the village. Yes,a they were made out of the un-PC lead in those days.I still have them and I still put up my own village each Christmas. 3 Grandsons have now played with those people and villages. One Christmas, while living in the dreaded Rochester, NY, the hometown of SNOW, we had to pick up my grandparents at the Buffalo ,(another horrid SNOW CITY), at the Railroad Station there. We 5 were the only people standing in 10 ft. snow drifts when they came off the train. It took us hours to return to Rochester. But, that Christmas, 1948, I got a basketball. I played BB until I was 60. In 1949, I got a red Christmas ball with Santa on it and my name. I still have it. Each Christmas back East, we listened to Lionel Barrymore play Scrooge on the radio. And I myself played the role in my 6th Grade presentation of The Christmas Carol. I still do the readings at my old church each year. Prayerfully, I am not Scrooge incarnate! In 1964, while teaching out in LB, Ca., all alone for the Nativity, my mom sent me a ticket from the 1964 Supposed Phillies' World Series. They never went of course, but it was a treasure. In 1980, my Dad died and I did his funeral at the oldest church in South Jersey, Old Brick , pre-Revolutionary War, right near Christmas and that same year, near Christmas '80, God gave me a second chance at marriage with Katy, from Austria. We just celebrated our 28th. The years travel quickly and domestic and international affairs go on and on. Yet, like Ralphie in The Christmas Story, I remember my gifts that touched me and even those that I gave to others. But the greatest gift I guess that I received was the fact that that same Aunt Thirza, from the 1940's prayed that I accept Jesus as Lord and Savior. It took my hard headed intellectualism to bow to His grace, but I finally did. And amazingly, ended up as a pastor, from whose pastorate, I retired last Jan. So this Christmas, we are in a new church, still retired, still teaching in the local college, but those years in the '40's were the foundation for the greatest gifts, Jesus and my wife, Katy.
