The headlines for Christmas Eve

  Years ago, during the '40's when I was a kid, headlines warned of how many days it was before Santa came and what new Christmas songs were available in old 78's. Today, 'scientists warn that Christmas lights harm the earth.' Now that these loons have the chutzpah to deal with stuff like that when people need cheering up and can see gorgeous lights as my grandson , my daughter and wife experienced last night in Naples, Ca., is just appalling. Another headline has,'Santas disable speeding lights.' Yep, break the law and that gives us cheer!!!??? Another headline has Bruce Springsteen saying that his hatred for Bush is the philosophy behind his new album. Gee what nice spirit for this holy holiday. Then there is the moron who sat on Santa's lap 'flashing gang signs.' Wow. Just we needed. Minorities who have it tough in a down economy wasting their time flashing worthless thuggish gang signs so the media will pick it up for their 15 minutes of fame. Then there was the hilarious cartoon of another Global Warming Conference with Al Gore frozen in an ice block and workers trying to get him inside before the media saw it. To make mattaers worse, one store had this sign: 'Shop , damn it, shop.'  The Spirit going haywire. And near Bethlehem, where followers of Jesus were gathering, another round of those friendly PLO, Hamas, jihadists rockets strafing Israeli lands. Then too, the Russians and Chinese reveal they think the West is doomed because of economic weakness so, so, so, they are building their nuclear forces higher!  Oh the joy of humanity. And in this season, the secularists want to erase the concept of sin. Thank God, Jesus did come to deal with sin. Still, with these headlines, one wonders how long God's patience will last with a wilfull humanity spinning out of control. But, as for me and my family, we will celebrate Christmas not Solstice or Kwanza or some made up holiday and wish all a Good Night of fun, faith, food, and friendship.

Choices

 For years I have been observing Cabinets. I first voted in 1958 and then nationally in 1960. It was amazing how the years have decided the choices one makes as President. Years ago, regional choices were big. The South was still a harbinger of Dem victories from the old FDR coalition. I had met one of the Kitchen Cabinet people in college who was with FDR. He gave a speech that balance was a necessity to keep all the varied voters on the team without really knowing that candidates spoke to different audiances with varied messages. With TV, the Net, blogs, it is harder to fool that many people but Obama did in 2008. And so apparently has Al Franken. The ignorant uninformed voter who took rhetoric over substance has astounded many conservPubs like myself who has worked in campaigns. Back to choice. Ike took Wilson because what was good for General Motors was good for the nation. What a change now, huh? Obama took Ken Salazar for Interior. Big deal,you bet! Ken is supposedly moderate for the West and the useage of energy resources. He will go down the line for the enviros as he did in Colo. when useage of natural gas, coal and oil shale was wanted by many in that state. Offshore drilling will not be put into effect. And coal, forget it.  As to Hillary, why she took State is still a mystery. She could have had a safe seat in NY for an eternity. And she will not challenge an incumbant unless the faux Messiah completely falls apart and the USA is hit with a huge attack or economically we are destroyed by his socialism. Arne as Education leader is a captive of the NEA. Period. All this stuff about new innovations is silly. Until the NEA is put in its place, next to the trial lawyers, it is the biggest donor as a group to the Dems, no educational innovations which actually benefit students with fair, objective teaching, will occur. LaHood is a token Pub. A guy who reminds me of nice genial Bob Michel when Pubs loved losing.  The Media is calling Obama the great uniter, reaching across the aisle to his opponents, Camelot don't you know! Baloney. He is still balancing the areas of leadership but they will fall into lockstep when push comes to shove or lose their position. This crowd in DC is full on socialist pacifists who while not getting out of Afghanistan, Barak has said 30,000 troops will be immediately sent there, they will try to make deals to limit our weapon systems. If Obama keeps the SDI shield going, and if the expands NATO to E. Europe, I will then begin to trust him inch by inch. But, one is apt to be cynical when he promises more jobs, and a stimulus of 1 trillion bucks. When Dems use the term investment, that means tax hikes. Choices. Yes, but so far, if the guy is real, those choices will cost the public dearly.

Dem corruption over the last 50 years.

  I am near 70. I have seen, studied, and shared with my classes the history of political corruption since I have been teaching for the last 47 years. It is amazing that when Pubs get indicted, or accused, they resign and wimper away from the public. Dems complain, go on TV, gripe, and never resign. Even Clinton did not. Bob Livingston, Newt, they resigned. Fannie and Freddie is outrageous in its corruption .  Dodd, Frank, Rangel, Reid, all are involved yet they defer the blame to Bush , to poor W. And W says nothing. The public thinks over-regulation is the cause not Dem perfidy.  So on they go blathering about big business while the UAW gets away with featherbedding, the Dems keep asking for illegals to replace legal American workers, and the MSM covers for all of these dolts. And then they cry out for more bailouts. Car industries are to get our tax dollars without really reorganizing, firing the crooks and incompetents and showing just how taxpayers will be paid back. Pelosi has allowed this culture of corruption especially with Rangel, to go unchecked though she promised ethical government unlike that of Pub Larry Craig! Now we have the Ill. guv in trouble and Obama running for the high grass. The Dems are calling Balgo nuts, insane anything to cover their Party rear ends and not have any tinge of corruption hit Chicago , the faux Messiah or even Mayor Daly.

Pearl Harbor over and over and over!

 Probably no one will even comment on this issue. But, America has suffered now two Pearl Harbors and already, the public has mostly put it behind them.  Americans do not like to center on how our nation has suffered international blows of violence against them at least they do not seem to learn the lessons of such violence. It will be interesting if the USA is hit when the Messiah is President, how we react and how he will react. Critics of Bush  will not give him credit for protecting the USA for 7 years.  The public did finally credit our military and FDR for defeating the totalitarians by the end of 1945. Since then, it appears that the military , the only ones who really defend freedom( not pacifists or leftist protestors) has been dissed by many Americans. I saw one, one article on Dec. 7. There was more media material  on gays protesting the defeat of Prop. 8 then on remembering how America was stabbed in the back and how the nation reacted and responded. No matter how one reacts or worries about the economy , it will be how the US reacts to Islamofascism and its evil attachers all over the world that decides the future of our nation. If the new President reacts with pacifism and the malarky of negotiations , the nation will suffer defeat after defeat and history will not judge us well as it deals with liberty and freedom.

The Soviet Republic of the USA

         Well, we are now here. Central planning from the top of our government, wants to keep all of our lives in the hands of unelected pols who think they know better than the public. Sec. of Treasuries, EPA heads, bank and corporation failures, all want to decide the outcomes for our economy. Commerce is in charge of our weather forecasting. What about trade? Err, well, we shall see if that counts. And Big Media is now a partner with the liberal socialist pacifists in the new Obama Administration. Oh sure, he has picked Hil for State, Gates for Defense and other top national defense pros. But, when the outcome of our economy is held in the hands of people who allowed Fannie and Freddie to collapse, allowed banks and corporations either regulations or non-regulations, who thought bailing out everybody but the taxpayer, thought cars should become 3-wheelers with 100 MPH and made out of plastic, then one knows that Corporate Fascism as Mussolini conceived of it, is almost here. Heck, Swedish socialism might be the ideal for the Left, but they went one step more to get National Socialism. Oh, they will cringe at this, but where does the term Market, free enterprise capitalism, supply and demand come into their considerations? I do not see it. Teaching economics for 47 years, I am now thinking that I have seen the end of the Hamiltonian federal banking system replaced by even more Government control which Hamiliton would have been hard to justify.  We need more Supply Siders, Milton Freidmann, and less of Keynes and Marx.

Thanks for all the Bail outs

What gets me , as a 70 yr. old, is that the pols want to bail out Citi, banks , auto companies, and also put more deficits on the table without consulting the public and tax payers like me.  Instead, this Thanksgiving, the auto guys, banks, and other private institutions are going to talk and eat turkey at the same time on my cuff. My grandsons will pay for these bail outs. When the public declares bankruptcy, they are often blackballed. But, they now get away with it with newer lesser regs. So why not allow these failures to declare and start from the bottom up to reorganize, get more efficient leadership and production lines and products that the public can afford to buy? Why should I have to have my taxes raised to help losers in private industry? The same goes for all these mortagae frauds. Why should we all bail out Freddie Mac and Fanny May when liberal Dems like Frank, Dodd, Biden, and even the new President have used them as cash cows and allowed them to give bad loans? Oh, I forgot, it was all W's fault! And the stupid, errrr sorry, the uninformed public elected a naif with no experience as we can see by his appointments of the old boys and gals of the Clinton years to help him come up with some numbers that will make sense and keep the nation from completely imploding.  If, if he does not raise taxes on corporations or on us as individuals, the Dow will soar, houses will be built and so will cars. He will look like a genius. My guess is that he will keep taxes off the charts for a bit to see if his other tinkerings will work. If he gives into his Kos-Moveon Base, and taxes us all, the economy will tank even worse and by 2010, his Party actually may lose seats in Congress! We shall see.

Is the plan socialist pacifism for the USA?

 Like so many frustrated Republican Christian Conservatives, I am fearing that this economic crisis is one which the new Administration will use to nationalize about anything they can touch. Mitt was correct when he said the Auto Industry should declare bankruptcy and reorganize without huge new structures and CEO pay scales. Cut back on union kow towing and produce cars like Honda, Mazda, and Toyota that can compete with technology that is affordable. A crisis like the Depression of the '30's was used by FDR to throw up solutions on the wall and hope they worked, all the while empowering liberal Democrats in Congress. This is the scenario today. It is plain to see that Obama is not going to cut ATM taxes, capital gains, personal income taxes or any corporate taxes, which would sky rocket the falling Dow immediately. My family has lost nearly 100,000 dollars in our retirement funds. If we sold now, which we will not, we would lose even more as of this past week's deficit. The Obamas of the world in the Congress want to take apart all our industries so they will be dependent on the Federal Govt. It is plain to see. It will make voters who have jobs in industrial fields also dependent on Democrats to keep them afloar. When Zogby was crushed this past week showing how uninformed Obama voters were about this nation, the Messiah's plans and who ran Congress, many realized that this horror is only starting. Many Republicans, some say as many as 4 million Evangelical Republicans did not even vote in this last election and Ohio and Florida showed that. There was no enthusiasm for McCain and even Sarah could not rescue this moderate hero. We shall see if that continues in the 2010 and 2012 elections. If so, free enterprise is dead in this nation as we used to know it. And as for foreign policy, can you imagine Kerry, Clinton, Dodd, Obama and Pelosi leading the charge against foreign enemies? The darkness continues to fall over the nation even as the Obama voters are in rapture over a person they knew nothing about but CHANGE AND HOPE. Not enough it appears now to actually run or protect a nation.

Thanks to God not the Feds for blessings

 Soon, it will be another Thanksgiving. More people will watch football, eat turkey and forget this holiday's real meaning as they do Christmas. Americans are becoming increasingly secular, humanist, and wedded to the Federal Government for their so called blessings. The nation is now ready for the socialism that gives them cradle to the grave help over all those evillllllllll capitalists, conservatives, Christians, and Republicans who are, of course, funded by BIG BUSINESS. Now the fact that no one gets a job from a poor , unproductive person has not entered the minds of the public as of yet. So they await bail outs for everything. They will forget the fact that early Americans actually thought that this was a blessed land because the Biblical God actually put this nation, this area together to be another 'city set on a hill filled with light.' It was to be the new Israel for many colonists. They knew that food, water, land, minerals, metals, natural resources of all kinds were put there by an all-Knowing God; the one in the Bible. They didn't think of the Government as the provider. Everything from weddings, eyesight, life itself, was a gift from God and we were to be stewards not owners of all He gave to us. We were to enjoy it and take care of it. Real conservationists not envirowackjobs. Families, law, health, opportunities all came from a loving God. But, today, few think that. Even many believers think they are owners of all they survey and purchase. We all forget in the rush of this carnal , secular world that there still is a God who cares and judges. As the generations go on, this holiday will be replaced with one honoring Barak Obama. Mark my words. Thanksgiving already is for the Detroit or Dallas or Green Bay football games. It is for turkey and one more weekend to go Christmas shopping for an IPOD. As all areas of our nation are bailed out on my, on your tax dollar, our free enterprise system will fade into a hodge podge of rhetoric unless we remember that after the Reformation, free enterprise was the economics of all and it gave many much more opportunity than they had ever seen. It is true today but race, ethnic, class warfare has taken over good common economic democratic sense. As the Federal Govt. gains more power,we shall see if the underlings keep thinking that bread and circuses should replace individualism, freedom, liberty and a thankfulness that the Biblical God is more responsible for all our blessings than some politician or system.

Blaming the Bushies for all courruption.

 Seems like yesterday when Clinton was impeached but not convicted. Today, Democrats , as they have been promising since 2001, are going to investigate all things Bush. The war, oil , the Dow, war crimes, Afghanistan, Fannie and Freddie, health care failures, CIA INTEL, every nook and crannie of 8 years to make themselves feel good and hopefully put Dick Chaney in jail. Now, since the GOP never defends itself as The Stupid Party, The Evil Party, now flush with victory feels it can dump all domestic and foreign problems at the feet of Bush, the GOP and of course, that vile Right Wing of Conservatives and Rush-Sean-Laura et al.  The GOP will not defend itself and by 2010, there will be no GOP worth thinking about unless they can actually be The Loyal Opposition which actually opposes the socialist pacifism of the Messiah and the Democrats. To do that, they will need new people with new solutions to many problems that the Dems will only make worse especially the economy and national security. We can only pray that the 3 leftist jurists on the SCOTUS who have been said to be retiring will not go all at once since the GOP can't even filibuster them. So let the games, eerrr, the investigations begin with Frank, Waxman, Dodd, Durbin and the boys on the Left yelling for blood and convictions. Even as Dem voting fraud and money laundering never gets investigated as I write, the GOP will be lambs led to the slaughter since no one will speak out because they are too busy reaching across the aisle to get killed  as they foolishly compromise again with their principles.

Rebuilding the GOP

 The way to rebuild the GOP is to stop the RINO's from having the sway that only moderates will get elected. McCain did as well as he could but he did not get hundreds of thousands of conservative, libertarian, and Constitutionalist's votes. The Party is still best when it stands for the Reagan principles updated. 1. Either Newt or Mike Steele should be GOP RNC Chair. I go with the ideas guy; Newt and his putting together a new Contract for 2010. Mike is a doer who could be used to recruit new younger more diverse culturally, ethnically candidates to run Congressionally. He could also meet with state chairs to renew their efforts to recruit state candidates. 2. The GOP must get a Bench together to be the spokespeople for the Party: Jindal, Palin, Pense, Cantor, Coburn, DeMint, others to push 4-5 principles that the public can trust and can see is better for the nation than the liberal socialist pacifism of the Democrats. 3. The GOP speakers must use Talk Radio on a daily level and CSPAN on a daily level. They must stand against liberal Dems not agree or go across the aisle to them. Enough of that nice bit. Dems never play nice and they are winning hugely. Their ideas stink but they communicate them better. The GOP must learn to communicate simply the basics of liberty, freedom, capitalism, national defense, the importance of good jurists, the kitchen table issues that impress voters where they work and play.

Confusion over how to make this my primary blog.

 I just cannot find how to make this blog my primary blog or any of the others that have 'kicked' me off or deleted my blog. Oh well, perhaps this one will stick. I just do not know. I am so frustrated over this because I cannot even get on any other townhall article. Please help if you click in. Blessings. I have had now 5 blogs and all have been deleted or will not say it is my primary blog. And I have ideas to share.
